Urban Infrastructures for Climate Action and REpair

InfraCARE · Nov 2025 – Nov 2027

InfraCARE explores how care and infrastructure intersect to advance urban climate justice. We work with local stakeholders to co-produce inclusive, reparative approaches to climate action in cities, prioritising the voices and needs of marginalised communities.

Partners & expertise

University of Groningen, University of the Basque Country, University of Bern and University of Galway bring together urban geography, political ecology, climate policy analysis, spatial planning, ecological economics, social anthropology and participatory & feminist methods.

Timeline & activities

Nov 2025 – Nov 2027: two research workshops; a summer school on urban infrastructures for equitable climate action; and a travelling photo exhibition of urban climate (in)justices by partner university students.
